2004, Election Day.

As I gathered my thoughts regarding the upcoming vote, I felt disheartened and angry.

Considering the less than impressive qualities of the two major candidates, I asked myself...

"Is this the best our country has to offer ?"

Over and over, I kept thinking, "This is it ? These two ?
                                                                         ...I want a better choice."

I was disheartened that the country with some of the greatest minds had to settle for 'leadership' that was uninspiring and clearly out of touch with the wishes of the American people. I was angry for feeling forced into a vote between the lesser of evils; however, I realized there were really no other viable options. I just didn't see two men as real 'options'.

And that is when it began...

The more I listened over the next four years, the more I heard the rising tide of resentment and total lack of faith in our 'elected' officials. People all across America, continually frustrated with the lack of progress on the real issues facing our country.

And that phrase kept ringing in my head...over and over again..."I want a better choice."

Then, the primaries of 2008 began, and the chorus of frustration became louder. Surveying the political landscape, it seemed people from both parties felt lost and disillusioned with the changing identities of their political parties...

Neither party set forth credible candidates with a passionate vision supported by concrete answers and ideas for America’s future. Both parties playing it safe...with the same, old game of ‘politics as usual’ - manipulating the emotions and fears of Americans who long for the conviction of true leadership. Shifting back and forth on positions, based on the people they were talking to...dodging the important issues with smoke and mirror sound bites...spinning words until the meaning was lost.

Again, the desire for a better choice stirred within me.

My answer to that desire was to create this website - an outlet giving voice to others who felt like I did...people tired of settling for the lesser of two evils.

And through this website, it is my desire to provide creative concepts and ideas to inspire citizens to take a deeper interest in our government while also providing a gathering place where ideas can be discussed.

By developing imagery and content that celebrates the greatness of our country, I hope to challenge the American citizen, as well as, those in power to be accountable to the ideals that made America great.

This site is simply a resource to inspire Americans to pay attention to their government and educate themselves...a place where we can all learn from each other. It is not affiliated with any political group, lobbyist, or media conglomerate. Just citizens who want the best for this country based on The Constitution as the founding fathers designed.
